Dr James McKeown, FHEA, BD, PhD (Queen's University)
James McKeown first joined Belfast Bible College in 1973 when he enrolled as a student.
James' favourite's subjects were the Biblical languages and during his final year he combined his studies with part-time lecturing responsibilities in Hebrew and Greek.
When James left BBC he joined Scripture Gift Mission and was the Irish Secretary for ten years.

Having been a student at Belfast Bible College in 1973, James returned to the college as a tutor in 1986.
He was appointed Vice Principal in 1988. Since then he has concentrated his attention on the Old Testament. His special interests include the Hebrew language and the geography and culture of the Middle East.
He has published a commentary on Genesis in the "Two Horizons Old Testament Series"

James left the Bible College in June 2009 to concentrate on writing, preaching, teaching and research.

James is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and the Chair of the Post Graduate Committee of the Institute of Theology at
Queen's University Belfast.

He welcomes research students in Old Testament studies especially in relation to the book of Genesis. He has considerable experience both as supervisor and examiner of research students (MPhil and PhD).

His wife Audrey, manages her own consultancy business known as "Growth Solutions International".
